During a press conference at the White House on Tuesday, President Trump revealed a major development, the inception of an American AI entity titled ‘Stargate,’ in collaboration with OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank. This project is projected to inject $500 billion into the American economy and generate around 100,000 new jobs. Despite the monumental economic implications of this announcement, the mainstream media seemed unfazed, opting instead to confront Trump on a contentious issue—the pardoning of the January 6th protestors.
In a typical liberal media fashion, one reporter attempted to ensnare President Trump with a pointed question regarding D.J. Rodriguez, a pardoned protestor. The journalist stated, “You would agree it’s never acceptable to assault a police officer…D.J. Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the back of a police officer. He later confessed to the FBI on video and pleaded guilty to his crimes. Why does he deserve a pardon?”
Trump swiftly identified the adversarial undertone of the question and pivoted the narrative towards a broader systemic issue of unaddressed violent crimes in urban centers, responding incisively, “I can say this: murders today are not even charged all over. Look at what’s going on in Philadelphia, look at what’s going on in LA, where people murder people, and they don’t get charged.”
He highlighted the harsh realities faced by January 6th protestors languishing in the DC Gulag, drawing attention to their inhumane treatment. Contrasting this with the leniency shown towards criminals in cities like Portland, Trump remarked, “These people have already served years in prison…It’s a disgusting prison, it’s inhumane. You go to Portland where they whacked police officers and shot police officers, and nothing happened to anybody.”
As the reporter attempted to interject, President Trump continued, reinforcing his argument with examples from Seattle and Minneapolis, cities plagued with lawlessness during riots. “Wait a minute,” he stated. “Take a look at Minneapolis. If I didn’t bring in the National Guard, that city wouldn’t even exist today…People were killed, and nobody went to jail.”

Trump’s critique extended to President Biden’s recent pardons, pointing out the hypocrisy therein: “Joe Biden yesterday gave a pardon to a lot of criminals. You should be asking: Why did he give a pardon to all these criminals?”
The exchange culminated as the reporter sought to interrupt yet again, but Trump firmly shut down the line of questioning, posing compelling inquiries of his own. “Why did he give a pardon to the J6 Unselect Committee when they burned and destroyed all those documents which showed what they did was wrong, not me? Wait a minute, why did they go to all his relatives who made millions of dollars?”
In sum, Trump’s masterful rebuttal not only sheds light on the overt partiality in media narratives but also challenges the selective outrage displayed by the left. Instead of investigating substantial matters related to political accountability, certain reporters seem preoccupied with vilifying individuals aligned with different ideological spectrums.
