One of the attorneys who represented a father falsely accused of murdering his daughter called Biden’s decision “cruel” and “out of touch with the American public.” Kathleen Zellner, who fought to exonerate Jerry Hobbs after DNA evidence proved his innocence, condemned Biden for commuting the sentence of Jorge Aviia-Torrez, who sexually assaulted and killed Hobbs’ 8-year-old daughter and her best friend.
Marissa Gibson, the widow of Ohio police officer Bryan Hurst who was killed by death row inmate Daryl Lawrence, said she feels “dismissed” and “undermined” by Biden’s decision to commute Lawrence’s sentence. She pointed out that the jury’s decision to impose the death penalty should be upheld.
The Fraternal Order of Police in Columbus, Ohio also slammed Biden for his decision, calling it an “inexcusable affront” to the victim and law enforcement community. Heather Turner, whose mother and coworker were murdered by one of the criminals granted clemency by Biden, called it a “gross abuse of power” and criticized the President for not considering the victims or meeting with them before making his decision.
The City of Conway, South Carolina also weighed in, expressing their disappointment and stating that Biden’s actions have only served to “reopen old wounds” for the families of those murdered by the criminals whose sentences were commuted.
Despite these voices of outrage, Biden has continued his pattern of clemency for criminals, including drug dealers, cartel leaders, and corrupt officials. He even extended a pardon to his own son, despite previously stating he would not.
I am commuting the sentences of 37 individuals on federal death row to life sentences without the possibility of parole.

It is clear that Biden’s liberal agenda and disregard for the victims of these heinous crimes is his top priority. The families and friends of those who lost their lives at the hands of these murderers are left feeling ignored and dismissed by the President’s actions.
Trump was widely hailed for his tough stance on crime and support for law enforcement. Biden was never cut out for this job, We knew it, Obama knew it, and now the rest of American knows.

I recall after Senators Grassley and Johnson exposed the Biden family corruption that it was determined that Biden was NOT competent to stand trial. Now he issues pardons and commutations for convicted criminals that we all believe are coming from those that really run the White House. My question is, does Biden even know who he is pardoning or commuting the sentence for and are these actions really legal, in his diminished capacity?
