BOOM! Democrat Lawmaker Indicted for COVID Fraud

The Arrest

Federal prosecutors say State Rep. Karen Bennett of Stone Mountain was indicted by a grand jury for making false statements tied to COVID-19 unemployment benefits. Authorities allege Bennett collected $13,940 for her in-home therapy business, Metro Therapy Providers, while that business was mostly open during the pandemic. She was released on a $10,000 bond after the indictment, which names a single count of false statements against her.

What Prosecutors Say

Federal investigators say Bennett told officials her company could not operate during the pandemic so she qualified for pandemic unemployment assistance. Prosecutors claim that the company was only briefly closed and that Bennett failed to disclose additional income she received from working at a church, which she did not list on her application. The government says she was getting more than $900 a week from that job while seeking benefits.

How This Fits a Bigger Pattern

This is the second Georgia state Democrat lawmaker charged in recent weeks over pandemic benefits. Last month State Rep. Sharon Henderson faced federal charges including theft of government funds and multiple counts of making false statements. That pattern raises questions about oversight of pandemic aid and the need for consistent enforcement, especially when public officials are involved.

Why Voters Should Care

Taxpayer money was meant to help people and small businesses in real need. Allegations that elected officials abused that system hurt public trust and make it harder to support future emergency programs. An indictment is not a conviction, but it does justify scrutiny and a full and transparent legal process so voters can see the facts and hold representatives accountable.

The problem being is, the courts use the double standards clause. Democrats are not to be held accountable for criminal activities! That is why democrats continually break the written laws to enrich themself with no accountability!

Federal prosecutors are dabbling around the edges of covid fraud, arresting the small perpetrators, which needs to be done over course, but the big culprits, like Fauci, run free. Democrats were able to raise government spending by trillions due to Covid and now we have proof of trillions of dollars (probably) of fraud scammed from the American people.
