On Tuesday, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, gave a shocking insight into his marriage during an interview with Dan Le Batard on the Dan Le Batard Show.
While recalling the day he learned President Joe Biden had dropped out of the race, Emhoff described a frantic scene where he was in a SoulCycle class in Los Angeles and received the news from a friend.
He then rushed to his phone, which was in a Secret Service car, and called Kamala. According to Emhoff, their conversation began with “Where the fuck were you?” and “I need you right now. Get to work.”
This exchange is certainly concerning and raises questions about the dynamic of their marriage. One would expect a spouse to be supportive and excited on such a momentous day in their partner’s career. Instead, Emhoff’s first instinct was to berate and scold his wife for not being immediately available.
It’s almost as if he sees himself as the primary decision-maker in their relationship and expects Kamala to drop everything and follow his commands.
But perhaps this is not surprising coming from a man who is known for his anti-social behavior. Emhoff has a history of verbally attacking and even physically assaulting women.
In one instance, he allegedly slapped an ex-girlfriend. And in another, he reportedly berated female staff members in his office. It’s clear that Emhoff has a problem with controlling his anger and respecting women, and this may be a result of his position as the lesser-known and overshadowed spouse of a powerful woman.
It’s admirable that Emhoff has taken a backseat to his wife’s political career, but it seems that he may be harboring some potentially dangerous feelings towards her success. The fact that he is constantly referred to as the “second gentleman” and is often seen walking behind Kamala at events may be causing resentment and fueling his negative behavior. It’s a shame that instead of celebrating his wife’s success, Emhoff is using it as an excuse to lash out.
Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have a strong and balanced partnership. While Melania may not be as heavily involved in politics as Kamala, their relationship is built on respect and support for one another. They are a true team, and it’s clear that Trump values Melania’s input and opinions. Their marriage serves as a shining example of a healthy and happy relationship.
NEW: Doug Emhoff says his wife Kamala cussed at him and told him to “get to work” when Joe Biden dropped out of the race because he was in a spin class.
Emhoff says his wife, who once forced staff to refer to her as ‘The General,’ was fuming when he missed her call.

Emhoff’s disrespectful and dismissive behavior towards his wife is concerning and brings into question the stability of their marriage. It’s clear that he is struggling to find his place beside his powerful wife and may be taking out his frustrations on those around him.
Trumps’ strong and balanced partnership shows what a healthy and happy marriage should look like. America deserves a leader who not only respects their own spouse, but also respects and values women in general.

Sounds like they are perfect for each other, really.
Birds of a feather flock together.
I don’t like either of them but I didn’t get the same message from what I saw . IT sounded like it was Kamala chastising him.
So what’s the deal? The article says Emhoff was the rude, demanding one, but watching the video, Kamala was. Which was it? Either way, it sure doesn’t sound healthy or balanced.
Did we watch the same video…??
K is “running the show” but they are both losers and deserve each other.
Um, the article is completely backward from the video. Clearly, the writer jumped to conclusions that he was the problem in this case. It was the other way around. That means there is also no Editor checking their work.
I can’t stand either of them, but this kind of mistake makes me consider looking at other sources for my news/gossip…
Thanks for the comment – I’ll take the hit on this one. I was backlogged and had a guest author to help out.
