Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a vocal advocate for the radical “Defund the Police” movement, was caught on camera hiding behind a Capitol Police officer when confronted by a Daily Caller News Foundation reporter. The footage shows Crockett refusing to answer whether she regrets her derogatory remarks about Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whom she mockingly called “Governor Hot Wheels” during a speech to an LGBTQ+ advocacy group.
“Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there, come on now. And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot ass mess, honey,” Crockett said, shamelessly mocking Abbott, who has been paralyzed since a tragic accident in 1984. Instead of standing by her comments or offering an apology, Crockett ducked into an elevator, shielded by law enforcement—the very institution she has spent years vilifying.
This hypocrisy is nothing new for Crockett, who has long championed the “Defund the Police” movement, despite its overwhelming unpopularity among Americans. In a 2021 Facebook speech, she defended the movement, claiming, “‘Defund the Police.’ Let’s have a real conversation about what it means, because those who have never sat down with one activist somehow choose to define a movement that was born out of police brutality.” She went on to argue that defunding law enforcement would “finally invest in our communities to make them safer”—a fantasy debunked by skyrocketing crime rates in cities that embraced her radical agenda.

Yet, when faced with a simple question from the press, Crockett relied on the same police officers she wants to dismantle for protection. This is the same liberal playbook: demonize law enforcement when it suits their narrative, then hide behind them when accountability comes knocking.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has consistently stood with law enforcement, backing the men and women who keep our streets safe. While Democrats like Crockett push policies that endanger communities, Trump has championed law and order, calling for increased police funding and tougher penalties for criminals. The contrast couldn’t be clearer—while the left cowers behind the very institutions they seek to destroy, Trump delivers real solutions for American safety.
She acts and speaks like a street thug, she is an embarrassment to black citizens!

Her ignorance is only overshadowed by her stupidity. Scares me that tere is another Mad Max coming up through the ranks. I hope that those that voted her in reflect on the colossal mistake they made and correct it the next election cycle.
