‘Make America Healthy Again’: Trump’s Bold Move for the Nation’s Health

President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter on Thursday to announce his nomination for the Department of Health and Human Services: Robert Kennedy Jr. Kennedy, who endorsed Trump and joined forces with him after ending his own presidential campaign in August, will serve in Trump’s administration as the leader of the department.

In his tweet, Trump emphasized Kennedy’s commitment to restoring federal health agencies to the “traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research” and making them “beacons of Transparency.”

Trump praised Kennedy, stating, “For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health.”

He went on to say that the safety and health of all Americans is the most important role of any administration, and that HHS will play a vital role in protecting citizens from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming health crisis in the country.

Kennedy’s main focus as part of his “Make America Healthy Again” campaign is to address the rising chronic disease rate affecting nearly three in five Americans, improve access to nutritious foods, and combat the trend of obesity in adults. He has also expressed a desire to dismantle certain departments of the Food and Drug Administration, which he believes are not adequately protecting American citizens.

In an interview with MSNBC, Kennedy stated, “In some categories… entire departments, like the nutrition department of the FDA that have to go, that are not doing their job, they’re not protecting our kids.” He continued, “Why do we have Fruit Loops that have 18 or 19 ingredients and you go to Canada and it’s got two or three?” Kennedy believes that eliminating corrupt agencies and promoting transparency and good science will lead to a healthier nation.

President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Robert Kennedy Jr. for the Department of Health and Human Services showcases his commitment to restoring the integrity of federal health agencies and prioritizing the health of American citizens.

With Kennedy’s expertise in corporate corruption and dedication to fighting for the well-being of all Americans, this appointment is a strong step towards achieving Trump’s goal of making America healthy again.
