Jennings Says JD Vance is Right About What Republicans Need to do After This Week’s Elections [Video]

In the wake of the first major elections of President Donald J. Trump’s second term, the predictable hand-wringing and doom-mongering from the establishment has begun, but a clear-headed analysis from voices like Vice President JD Vance and CNN’s Scott Jennings provides a necessary dose of reality. The liberal media, in its desperate hope to spin blue-state victories as a national repudiation of the America First agenda, is deliberately ignoring the fundamental truths about the American electorate and the work that lies ahead for the Republican party.

Vice President Vance, in a succinct and powerful social media post, laid out the definitive path forward, cutting through the noise with a clarity that the permanent political class in Washington consistently lacks. He rightly dismissed the panic, stating, “I think it’s idiotic to overreact to a couple of elections in blue states,” a direct rebuke to the media complex that seeks to amplify every Republican setback into an existential crisis. His first point zeroed in on the core structural challenge: mobilizing the coalition that delivered historic victories for President Trump. “Our coalition is ‘lower propensity’ and that means we have to do better at turning out voters than we have in the past,” Vance noted, praising the grassroots efforts of organizations like TPUSA. This underscores a critical mission—to energize the millions of Americans who believe in President Trump’s vision but have not always participated in off-cycle elections.

The Vice President then pivoted to the substantive heart of the matter, the issues that will ultimately decide the fate of the America First movement in 2026 and beyond. “We need to focus on the home front,” he declared, correctly identifying the paramount importance of the economy. He highlighted that “the president has done a lot that has already paid off in lower interest rates and lower inflation, but we inherited a disaster from Joe Biden and Rome wasn’t built in a day.” This is a crucial reminder of the catastrophic economic inheritance from the Biden administration and the steady, successful work being done by President Trump to restore American prosperity, a narrative the liberal media intentionally obscures with its relentless negativity.

Perhaps most importantly, Vance issued a call for unity that should be heeded by all factions within the party. “The infighting is stupid,” he stated bluntly, outlining a powerful, unifying platform. “I care about my fellow citizens–particularly young Americans–being able to afford a decent life, I care about immigration and our sovereignty, and I care about establishing peace overseas so our resources can be focused at home. If you care about those things too, let’s work together.” This is the winning agenda: affordability, sovereignty, and peace, the very pillars of President Trump’s successful campaign.

Echoing this sober analysis, CNN’s Scott Jennings provided a rare moment of sense on a network typically dedicated to anti-Trump propaganda. Jennings completely agreed with Vance’s assessment, emphasizing that “Republicans should focus on cost of living and affordability. We should stop infighting. Focus on issues. And we still have a lot of people who LOVE Donald Trump but don’t turn out when he’s not on the ballot.” He wisely cautioned against emotional overreactions, pointing out the obvious that the liberal media pretends not to see: “There’s some things to be learned about how we run campaigns…but remember: these are BLUE states. Democrats won in blue states. Being overly emotional is probably not a great idea.” This grounded perspective is a welcome antidote to the hysterics being pushed by those who seek to undermine the progress made under President Trump’s strong leadership.

The path forward is not one of panic or course reversal, but of disciplined execution on the promises that resonated with the American people. It requires turning out the vast, enthusiastic coalition that supports President Trump and relentlessly communicating the successes of his administration in rebuilding an economy shattered by decades of failed policies from both parties. The liberal media will continue to cheer for Republican failure, but the blueprint for future victory has been clearly articulated by Vice President Vance.

No republicans this last Tuesday ran on making things affordable and obtainable. The left, especially Mamdani focused on how he was going to make life easier and more affordable and the young and females bought it hook, line and sinker. His ideology, socialism ends up with the very poor and the elite with virtually no middle class. Want to win for once republicans, and with out daddy Trump, push the affordability and obtainability aspect with capitalism and how and why socialism never works!!
