Jaws Drop After Vance Drops Truth Bomb on Denmark’s Greenland Failures [Video]

A recent report by Military.com reveals that Space Force Col. Susan Meyers, commander of Pituffik Space Base in Greenland, sent a base-wide email distancing herself from Vice President J.D. Vance’s remarks during his March 28 visit—remarks that strongly aligned with President Donald Trump’s strategic vision for Greenland as a critical national security asset. The email, which emphasized unity among U.S., Canadian, Danish, and Greenlandic personnel, subtly rebuked the Trump administration’s stance, raising concerns about military leadership undermining civilian authority.

During his visit, Vice President Vance delivered a powerful message reinforcing President Trump’s position that Greenland’s security infrastructure has been neglected under Danish administration, leaving it vulnerable to Chinese and Russian aggression.

“President Trump, as he says all the time and as a lot of people recognize, is a president of peace,” Vance stated. “We want to have good relationships with everybody; that includes even, to the extent possible, the Chinese and the Russians. But part of having good relations is showing your strength when you have to.”

Vance also criticized Denmark’s failure to adequately invest in Greenland’s defense, stating:

“Our message to Denmark is very simple: You have not done a good job by the people of Greenland, you have underinvested in the people of Greenland, and you have underinvested in the security architecture of this incredible, beautiful landmass filled with incredible people. That has to change.”

Instead of standing firmly with the administration, Col. Meyers sent an email to base personnel on March 31, stating:

“I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base.”

This statement raises serious concerns about a military officer publicly distancing herself from the elected leadership’s policies—a dangerous precedent that undermines civilian control of the armed forces.

The Department of Defense swiftly responded, with Chief of Staff Joe Kasper affirming:

“Civilian control of the military is a bedrock principle of our armed forces. Actions to undermine the chain of command or to subvert President Trump’s agenda will not be tolerated at the Defense Department.”

This incident highlights the ongoing resistance within certain military circles to President Trump’s America-first policies, particularly in strategically vital regions like the Arctic.

While the liberal media often claims to support military professionalism, their silence on Col. Meyers’ insubordination speaks volumes. Had this occurred under a Democratic administration, outlets like CNN and The New York Times would have framed it as a heroic stand against “authoritarianism.” Instead, they ignore the story, proving their bias against Trump’s efforts to strengthen U.S. security.

President Trump has consistently prioritized Arctic dominance, recognizing Greenland’s immense strategic value in missile defense and countering Russian and Chinese expansion. The attempt by a military officer to soften his administration’s stance is unacceptable and must be addressed.
