Blind devotion to a party needs to give way to common sense. The dem party needs to split and become two different philosophies. DNC leadership isn’t stupid. This is how they buy votes. Ever since LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act in 1964 and implemented ‘The Great Society’ policy of basically subsidizing low-income minorities for life, government programs (taxpayer money) have become the ‘carrot-on-the-stick’ for a voter base that Democrats still exploit. It is a sly system the Democrats created and maintain to ensure that people dependent upon government welfare will always vote for more benefits — therefore, vote Democrat to guarantee the continuance of such. They don’t want anyone to question or examine those programs like DOGE is currently doing. Those programs are their ‘scared cow’ to keep getting votes from their dependent base. It’s not their money, so they don’t care.
