In a major development, Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg has ordered the release of documents related to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s classified documents case and President Trump’s attorney-client privilege dispute. This ruling exposes yet another layer of the Deep State’s relentless persecution of the 45th President, who has been targeted by a weaponized justice system since the moment he announced his 2024 campaign.
The liberal media, of course, will downplay this bombshell, just as they’ve ignored the unconstitutional tactics used by Smith and his allies. Let’s not forget: Jack Smith abused a DC grand jury and relied on radical Obama-appointed Judge Beryl Howell—a notorious anti-Trump activist—to violate President Trump’s attorney-client privilege by forcing his lawyer, Evan Corcoran, to testify. Howell’s outrageous ruling flipped Trump’s own attorney into a witness, shredding the long-standing legal protections that should shield private legal discussions.
But the corruption doesn’t stop there. Smith sneakily shifted his sham investigation to Florida after facing scrutiny, indicting Trump on 37 bogus charges in June 2023. These included 31 counts of “willful retention of national defense information”—a laughable accusation, given that President Trump had full authority to declassify documents. The remaining six “process crimes” were nothing more than entrapment tactics, stemming from conversations between Trump and his lawyer that should have remained confidential.
Thankfully, Judge Aileen Cannon, a fair-minded jurist, saw through this charade. Last July, she dismissed Smith’s entire case, ruling that his appointment as special counsel was unconstitutional. Citing Justice Clarence Thomas’s concurring opinion on presidential immunity, Trump’s legal team successfully argued that Merrick Garland had no authority to appoint Smith without Congressional approval, nor could Smith operate with unlimited, unchecked funding.
As Judge Cannon rightly stated in her ruling:
“The Special Counsel’s appointment violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution… Neither the Attorney General nor the Department of Justice has the unilateral power to create such an office without legislative authority.”

This is a stunning rebuke of the Biden administration’s lawfare against President Trump. Yet, predictably, the left-wing media—CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times—will spin this as “obstruction” or “delaying justice.” They refuse to acknowledge that this case was always a political hit job, designed to derail Trump’s 2024 campaign.
The American people see the truth: the Deep State is terrified of Trump’s return. They know he will dismantle their corrupt bureaucracy, hold the swamp accountable, and put America First once again.
