Academic Thug Exposed: Watch Prof’s Violent Meltdown

In a shocking display of left-wing intolerance, a radical University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire professor violently assaulted a College Republicans voter information table on Tuesday, proving once again that liberals cannot handle opposing viewpoints without resorting to thuggish behavior. The professor, identified as José Felipe Alvergue, chair of the English department, threw a tantrum like a petulant child, flipping over the table and scattering voter materials across the sidewalk—all because he couldn’t stand the sight of conservative students engaging in lawful political activism.

The incident, captured on video by the UWEC College Republicans, shows Alvergue storming off after his unhinged outburst. Tatiana Bobrowicz, chair of the group, described the confrontation to WQOW-TV:

“We had a table set up for the election Tuesday when we were approached by a man. He asked why we were so close to the polling place. When I said we were past the 100-foot requirement, he told me ‘the time for this is over’ and flipped the table over.”

This is the kind of behavior we’ve come to expect from the left—when they can’t win arguments, they resort to intimidation and violence. Alvergue, an academic who supposedly values “free expression,” exposed himself as just another authoritarian liberal who believes only his side should be allowed to speak.

Thankfully, the university took swift action, placing Alvergue on administrative leave. Interim Provost Michael Carney issued a statement condemning the attack:

“I am deeply concerned that our students’ peaceful effort to share information on campus on election day was disrupted. UW-Eau Claire strongly supports every person’s right to free speech and free expression… Civil dialogue is a critical part of the university experience.”

But let’s be honest—if this had been a conservative professor attacking leftist students, the liberal media would be screaming for his head on a pike. Instead, outlets like CNN and MSNBC will likely ignore the story or downplay it as an “isolated incident,” refusing to acknowledge the rampant anti-conservative bigotry festering in academia.

Police are now investigating, and Alvergue has been charged with disorderly conduct, with a court date set for May 7. Will he face real consequences, or will the leftist academic machine protect one of its own?
