Marco Rubio is NOT a natural born citizen he is a naturalized citizen and thus NOT constitutionally eligible to be president! His parents were both Cuban when he was born and later after naturalization they had him naturalized. At the time of his birth the law stated that all children of cuban refugees were cuban and that their birth was counted against quotas. So his birth prevented another cuban from entering the US that year. So he was cuban when born thus requiring the naturalization! Standing precedent case law is US Supreme Ct 1875 Minor v Happersett. It states that in order to be a natural born citizen one must be born in the US to CITIZEN parents.

But on this one, the law is settled: Marco Rubio is a natural-born U.S. citizen because he was born in Miami, Florida. His parents’ citizenship doesn’t override the 14th Amendment, and the Supreme Court has been crystal clear for more than a century that anyone born on U.S. soil (except children of diplomats) is natural-born and doesn’t need naturalization. So while you may have plenty of reasons to debate Rubio politically, eligibility isn’t one of them.
