Once again, Kamala Harris has shown just how desperate she is to win over voters in Arizona, a state that’s slipping through her fingers. In a pathetic attempt to pander to Arizona voters, Harris decided to drag the late Senator John McCain’s name into her campaign, claiming he once praised her, saying she would make a “great senator.” And of course, she did it with her hideous, forced laugh that has become a signature move for Harris when she’s telling a story no one buys. But here’s the kicker: Meghan McCain, who has never been a fan of Trump, immediately called Harris out on this cheap ploy, suggesting there’s a lot more to the story than Harris would like to admit.
Harris’ McCain Story: Fact or Convenient Fiction?
Let’s break it down. Harris stood on stage, telling a story that supposedly took place when she and McCain were clashing in the Senate. According to Harris, after the two went back and forth in a committee hearing, McCain later called her over and said, “You’re going to make a great senator.” Convenient, isn’t it? Especially since Harris is sinking fast in the Arizona polls. The timing of this story raises major red flags—24 days before the election, when she’s struggling to win over independent voters in the state.
And then there’s Meghan McCain’s reaction. Meghan, someone who hasn’t exactly been shy about her disdain for Trump, didn’t hesitate to call out Harris for her political manipulation. In a tweet, Meghan blasted Harris and the Democrats for trying to “reinvent history” and warned Harris that if she keeps using her father’s memory for political gain, Meghan might just spill the tea on what John McCain really thought of her. And let’s be honest, that’s something we would all love to hear.
Meghan McCain: Not a Fan of Trump, But Even Less of a Fan of Harris’ Manipulation
Meghan McCain is not a Trump supporter, so her critique of Harris is coming from a very personal place. Meghan has repeatedly said she’s tired of Democrats trying to turn her father into something he wasn’t—a progressive liberal icon—especially when McCain was one of the most conservative senators in modern American history. Meghan knows her father’s legacy better than anyone, and she’s made it clear that Harris’s story doesn’t sound like the McCain she knew.
In fact, Meghan specifically mentioned that her father would have been disgusted by Harris’s stances on issues like Israel, the border, and Afghanistan. At a dinner party, Meghan recalls her father making remarks about Harris that she’s chosen not to reveal—yet. But the fact that Meghan, someone who was deeply close to her father both personally and professionally, is openly questioning the legitimacy of Harris’s story should tell you everything you need to know.
Meghan nailed it when she pointed out that Democrats, who want so badly to appear bipartisan, constantly invoke a dead senator because they have no other way to prove their credentials. It’s not just disrespectful—it’s downright insulting. If Harris was truly proud of her record and believed in her ability to win over voters, why does she need to pull John McCain’s name into her campaign? The answer is simple: She’s desperate.
Harris Has Bigger Problems Than a Fake McCain Story
It’s laughable that Harris is trying to connect with Arizona voters through this fabricated story about McCain when she’s completely ignored the real issues affecting the state. Arizona is ground zero for the border crisis, and Harris, who was appointed as the so-called “border czar”, has done absolutely nothing to fix it. Illegal immigrants, drugs, and even terrorists are flooding across the border, and what has Harris done? She’s dodged the issue, time and time again. But now, with her campaign in shambles, she’s hoping that a cheap story about McCain will be enough to distract voters.
Let’s not forget about the crippling inflation that’s making life harder for Arizonans and Americans everywhere. Harris doesn’t want to talk about that either because the Democrats have no solutions. Instead of addressing the skyrocketing prices, she’s leaning on a stale Obamacare defense and banking on a McCain anecdote to pull her through. It’s absolutely absurd.
Meghan McCain’s Warning: The Truth Is Coming
Meghan McCain’s “final warning shot” to Harris should have every voter’s attention. Meghan isn’t just calling out Harris for this single story—she’s calling out the entire Democratic playbook of exploiting her father’s memory for political gain. And if Harris continues down this road, Meghan has made it clear that she’s ready to expose the truth about what her father really thought of Harris. The fact that Meghan is holding back now, out of respect for her father’s legacy, only makes you wonder what kind of devastating critique she’s sitting on.
The truth is, Meghan McCain doesn’t owe Harris any favors. If Harris keeps pushing this false narrative, it’s only a matter of time before Meghan spills everything, and something tells me it won’t be pretty for Harris.
Final Thoughts
Kamala Harris’s attempt to use John McCain’s memory to gain favor with Arizona voters is not only desperate—it’s disrespectful. Meghan McCain has made it clear that she’s had enough of Democrats trying to turn her father into a political tool, and Harris’s latest stunt has only pushed her to the brink. As Meghan hinted, there’s a lot we don’t know about what John McCain really thought of Kamala Harris, and if Harris keeps playing this game, we might just find out.
Instead of focusing on a fabricated story from years ago, Harris should be addressing the real issues facing Arizona—border security, inflation, and the economy—but don’t hold your breath. Harris has proven time and again that she’s more interested in pandering than leading.
It’s time for Harris to own up to her failures and stop using the memory of a great American hero to score cheap political points. Meghan McCain won’t let her get away with it, and neither should Arizona voters.

Today- I am not a fan of the McCain’s though I would have voted for him with the McCain/ Palin ticket.
Once he came in at the last minute vote 12 midnight in a wheelchair after brain surgery for a revenge vote with thumb down on improving Obama care I lost all respect. Trump was right “he got caught” right in that moment when he could of help millions of voters for better health care he made a vote out of revenge for self-satisfaction and then died. Though, I am glad to see Megan McCain who was close to her father did not let this Harris pandering using her father go uncheck! Maybe Harris will heed the warning? However, I don’t know why Megan is holding back the truth about John McCain & Harris as Senators maybe it would improve John’s legacy but as for now I am not a fan of the McCain’s .
The truth to the matter is John McCain was executed at Gitmo by lethal injection on 8/25/19 for treason. Kamala is a jerk for name dropping anyone’s name. It makes her look weaker. In fact, the real Kamala was executed in 2017. You all are being gaslighted – again by the Democrats. Kamala was born Kamal Aroush in Benghazi, not born in California and was born male. Who is Emhoff married to? Another Michael Robinson/Michelle Obama fake? If you don’t believe me, you will when the EBS signal disclosures come out! My advice: learn to think and research.
Not all US Navy aviators are John McCain fans. Nevertheless, as a Senator, Kamala Harris was less popular than an STD.
In the end, I doubt that McCain was all that popular with his constituents. Incumbents are reelected due to name recognition , not because they have done a good job. I doubt that Harris benefited by the name drop. Another poor attempt by the left to gain votes. Kinda like giving Harris a shotgun. Dumb move.
