When Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy pressed her on how much danger U.S. communities are facing, Jean-Pierre’s response was to immediately discredit the data. “False representation” and “misrepresentation” were the phrases of the day. According to her, we’re all just confused, and the facts have been “debunked.” But here’s the thing—she never explains what exactly was debunked. Instead, she relies on her well-rehearsed, smug delivery to make it sound like everything is under control.

Jean-Pierre confidently asserted that the ICE data had been fact-checked by multiple outlets. Fact-checked by who, exactly? Her cronies in the liberal media who spend their days carrying water for this administration? It’s nothing more than a coordinated attempt to cover up the truth. Sanctuary cities continue to defy federal law by refusing to cooperate with ICE, and the Biden administration has done nothing to stop it. Instead, they encourage this lawlessness by refusing to take action.

In addition to the murderers, ICE data also reveals over 15,000 illegal immigrants convicted of sexual assault and 14,000 convicted of burglary. And that’s not even counting the over 660,000 non-citizens with criminal histories who are on ICE’s national docket. But according to Jean-Pierre, we’re supposed to believe that these numbers have been exaggerated, that we’re all just overreacting.
This is beyond dishonest—it’s dangerous. Every day that this administration continues to push its open-border policies, more criminals are slipping through the cracks. Every day that sanctuary cities get away with ignoring detainer requests, more Americans are put in harm’s way. And yet, Jean-Pierre stands at that podium and acts like everything’s fine.
