Jackie Norris, the chair of the Des Moines Public Schools board, actually stood up and told the community they need to practice “radical empathy” after their superintendent was hauled away by ICE with a loaded gun in his school car. Radical empathy? That’s the kind of phrase you’d expect to hear at a Berkeley drum circle, not from someone responsible for 30,000 kids. What she really means is “don’t be mad at us for hiring an illegal alien with a deportation order.”

Dr. Ian Roberts wasn’t just a school leader—he was also an illegal immigrant from Guyana who overstayed his visa by decades, lost his work authorization years ago, and was under a final order of deportation. Yet somehow, this guy managed to land the top job paying $270K/yr running Iowa’s largest school district. Parents were supposed to believe the system vetted him. Spoiler alert: they didn’t. Or maybe they just didn’t care, because diversity boxes mattered more than the law.

When ICE finally caught Roberts after a car chase, they found a loaded gun, a knife, and $3,000 cash in his district-owned vehicle. So not only was he breaking immigration laws, but he was also cruising around town like a discount cartel boss—on the taxpayer’s dime. And yes, the school board claims they were “shocked” to learn about the gun. I’m sure they were. After all, they were too busy preaching equity to notice the superintendent was packing heat in the company car.

Because of course they did. High school students staged walkouts waving signs that read “education not deportation” and chanting “free Ian.” Nothing screams priorities like kids skipping class to defend a man who wasn’t legally allowed to be there in the first place. Forget reading, writing, and math—apparently, the curriculum now includes learning how to side with lawbreakers against the country’s laws.
Registered Democrat Voter—But Don’t Worry, Illegals Don’t Vote
Here’s the cherry on top. Roberts was registered to vote as a Democrat. You know, the thing we’re constantly told never happens—illegals voting. But sure, let’s keep pretending it’s a myth while an illegal superintendent with a gun in his trunk is actively on the voter rolls. If that doesn’t sum up the clown world we live in, nothing does.

To make matters even juicier, the Department of Justice just opened an investigation into Des Moines Public Schools for race-based hiring practices. Turns out the district openly bragged about quotas to boost minority hiring. Translation: Roberts wasn’t just an accidental hire. He was the poster child for a system that prioritized DEI theater over merit, legality, and—oh yeah—basic safety for students.
Parents Deserve Accountability, Not Radical Empathy
At the end of the day, this isn’t about empathy. It’s about accountability. Like you said, most students back in the day didn’t even know who the superintendent was, let alone skip class to defend one. No exemptions fire every single one of them the not only broke the laws they put our children in major jeopardy every day. People need to start being held responsible for their bad decisions and that means starting at the top the ones who have and hold the power. They are the first ones to be held accountable and fired immediately ignorance is no excuse that’s why your paid the big bucks. These people think they’re untouchable because of their power or political affiliation these people must be removed now immediately. And you want to know why our children are failing life in general are becoming more violent and have no pride in anything they do it’s because of these demented teachers pushing their agendas on innocent children. Wake up America before it’s too late. Every classroom in America should have security cameras so parents can watch and hear what’s being taught in classrooms. There are cameras everywhere you go why haven’t they been put in classrooms. Because they don’t want parents too know what’s being taught or shoved down kids throats.

That’s the problem with so many school boards these days. They are invaded and taken over by the lowest scum in our society. They promise great things, then when they get into their office, they bring their woke crap to unsuspecting citizens, with no regard for the students or the innocent teachers who only want to educate our kids. With that one system, every last one of those scumbag pos’s need to be arrested and hauled off to a jail cell, then incarcerated for the violation of their oath. NO mercy for them, and especially that skank they made the chairman!

Other report I read said he already had a record for having an illegal gun. The article said the schoolboard claims a background check was run, but it didn’t show him as illegal but they knew about the gun record. Hired him anyway, even though it violated district policy.
