Kathy Hochul’s Aide Arrested for CCP Ties – How Deep Does This Go?

It’s not every day that you see the headlines splashed with news of a top government official arrested for conspiring with a foreign power. But that’s exactly what happened when Linda Sun, a former deputy chief of staff to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, was taken into custody by the FBI. The charges? Acting as an unregistered agent for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), among other things.

This isn’t just another case of government corruption. No, this is a full-blown scandal involving high-level influence peddling, secret deals, and a whole lot of cash. And let’s not forget, Sun wasn’t acting alone. Her husband, Chris Hu, was also arrested, and their actions have far-reaching implications, not just for New York but for the whole country.

The CCP’s Secret Agents in New York

Let’s break down what Linda Sun and Chris Hu are accused of. According to the indictment, they used their connections with New York State officials to act on behalf of the CCP. Among the allegations, Sun allegedly blocked Taiwanese representatives from accessing the governor’s office and worked to shape the public statements of two unnamed politicians to align with the CCP’s interests.

In return, Sun and Hu were showered with business opportunities in China, luxury gifts, and even a personal chef courtesy of a CCP official. Sounds like something out of a spy novel, right? Unfortunately, this is all too real.

The Money Trail

Follow the money, as they say, and you’ll uncover the truth. In this case, the money trail leads straight back to the CCP. Sun and Hu didn’t just cozy up to the Chinese government for fun. They made millions off this illicit scheme.

Their spoils include a $2.1 million condo in Honolulu, Hawaii, a 2024 Ferrari, and a $3.5 million home in a gated Long Island community. These luxury purchases were all allegedly funded through their dirty dealings with the CCP. The couple even placed their Long Island home in a trust earlier this year, probably hoping to cover their tracks. Nice try, but the FBI wasn’t fooled.

New York’s Response – Too Little, Too Late?

Governor Hochul’s office was quick to distance itself from Sun after the scandal broke. They fired her back in March 2023, claiming they had discovered evidence of misconduct. Hochul’s press secretary, Avi Small, stated that they immediately reported her actions to law enforcement and have been cooperating with the investigation ever since.

But the question remains: How did someone like Linda Sun get into such a high-level position in the first place? And why wasn’t her alleged misconduct uncovered sooner? These are questions that need answering, and fast.

A Pattern of Deception

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen government officials with ties to foreign powers, and sadly, it probably won’t be the last. Tim Walz, for instance, has been linked to China heavily in the past. Though this particular case doesn’t directly involve Walz, there are some similarities.

It seems like some of our leaders are more interested in lining their own pockets than serving the American people. And while Sun and Hu’s actions are particularly egregious, they’re part of a broader pattern of corruption that’s eroding trust in our institutions.

The Bigger Picture

This scandal isn’t just about two corrupt officials. It’s about the growing influence of the CCP in American politics. Sun and Hu were willing to sell out their country for personal gain, and they aren’t the only ones.

The CCP has been trying to infiltrate and influence American politics for years, and this case is a stark reminder of how successful they’ve been. It’s not just happening in Washington, D.C.; it’s happening right in our own backyard.

What’s Next?

Sun and Hu are facing serious charges, including acting as unregistered agents of a foreign government, conspiracy to defraud the U.S., wire fraud, money laundering, and immigration fraud. If convicted, they could spend years behind bars.

But the real question is, what’s being done to prevent this from happening again? How many other government officials are in the pocket of the CCP? And what can we do to stop this growing threat?

The American people deserve answers, and they deserve better from their leaders. It’s time to clean house and make sure that those who are supposed to serve the public aren’t selling us out to the highest bidder.

Final Thoughts

This scandal is a wake-up call. The CCP’s influence is growing, and it’s reaching into the highest levels of our government. Linda Sun and Chris Hu are just the tip of the iceberg. It’s time to take a stand and ensure that our leaders are working for us, not foreign powers.

What do you think? How deep do you think this corruption goes? We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please comment below.

So, the question is why isn’t Hochul under arrest? There is NO POSSIBLE way that she is not responsible. The buck stops here in other words.

Why is it Democrats feel it necessary to hire people from adversarial countries to be on their staffs? She is certainly not the first one It won’t be the last. Are there not enough American citizens that could fill these positions?

The Democrats in this country seems to be the enemy of this country and people still vote for them and I ask why? Are we so stupid? I have always voted for the best qualify person that is running whether he’s a Demo or a Rep. It seems Americans don’t have any common sense.

No great surprise that Hochul is seemingly in cahoots with Chinese Communist Spies/Money Launderers. I especially like the comments asking why Hochul isn’t under arrest too. Sounds political to me. Smoke Screen no doubt.
