Just What We Needed: Drag Queens and the Last Supper at the Olympics

Outrageous Display at the Paris Olympics

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics has stirred a storm of outrage across the globe. This so-called “celebration” included a grotesque display where drag queens and transgender individuals mocked one of the most sacred moments in Christianity: the Last Supper. This event, which was supposed to be a showcase of cultural pride and unity, instead became a spectacle of anti-Christian disrespect.

The mockery involved scantily dressed drag queens performing sexualized dances and a bizarre portrayal of Jesus’ Last Supper. The scene included a naked man painted blue and even a talking severed head. This is not just a minor slip; it’s a deliberate attack on the core of Christian faith.

Bishop Barron’s Strong Reaction

Bishop Robert Barron, from the Diocese of Winona-Rochester in Minnesota, didn’t hold back in his condemnation. In a powerful video statement, he called out the “gross sort of flippant mockery” of the Last Supper. Barron reminded us that France, once known as the “eldest daughter of the Church,” has forgotten its Christian roots. He pointed out that France, which gave us saints like Thomas Aquinas and Vincent de Paul, now chooses to belittle Christianity. This is a betrayal of the country’s own history and values.

Double Standards and Secularism

Barron also highlighted a glaring double standard. He questioned whether the organizers would ever dare to mock a scene from the Quran in such a way. The answer, of course, is no. This blatant double standard shows how secularism in our society targets Christianity with impunity while avoiding similar provocations against other religions. It’s a clear indication of who this secularist, post-modern society considers its enemy.

Worldwide Christian Outrage

The Christian community worldwide has expressed its shock and anger. French bishops have condemned the ceremony, calling it a “scene of derision and mockery.” They’ve extended their thanks to members of other religions who have shown support. This widespread condemnation underscores how this incident isn’t just a local issue but a global affront to Christian values.

Archbishop Charles Scicluna of Malta also voiced his distress. He called the parody of the Last Supper a direct insult to Christians everywhere. This reaction from global Christian leaders highlights the seriousness of the situation and the unity among Christians in facing such attacks.

A Call to Action

What we are witnessing is not just an isolated incident but a growing trend of hostility towards Christian beliefs. The secular elite and their allies continue to push boundaries, showing blatant disrespect for our faith. It is up to us to stand firm and make our voices heard. This is not a time for passivity. We must be active in defending our faith and values against such outrageous acts.

Final Thoughts

The desecration of the Last Supper at the Paris Olympics is a direct attack on Christianity and its followers. It reflects a disturbing trend in our society where Christian values are mocked and belittled while other religions are treated with far more respect. This event should serve as a wake-up call for all Christians. It’s time to stand up and defend our faith with conviction and courage.

This so called portrayal of the Last Supper both disgusts and angers me as a Catholic. The disrespect and mockery of Christanity by these perverted people demonstrates attacks on Christians all over the world. How France could have allowed such disrespect is beyond me.

    ABOMINABLE!

That said, if this had occurred in America, anyone who promotes the First Commandment-violating, polytheism-promoting First Amendment would be hypocrites to protest.

Religious Freedom (ironically promoted by the bulk of those claiming to be Christians) and Christian Liberty are NOT the same thing. In fact, Christian Liberty (aka biblical dominion) was sacrificed on the altar Religious Freedom.

Without the parameters of the Bible’s moral law, the First Amendment has proven to be a toxic brew. For example, Amendment 1 condemns the prohibition of speech, whether spoken or written. Does the Bible provide for free speech or does it limit speech? What about freedom of speech and freedom of the press as it concerns Yahweh Himself? Does God grant us freedom to curse Him or blaspheme His name?

On the other hand, freedom of speech and freedom of the press is used to provide protection for those who promote false religions, in utero infanticide, sodomy, drug abuse, violence, obscenities, and other abominations condemned by Yahweh.

The provision in Amendment 1 for United States citizens to assemble peaceably appears innocuous. But is it harmless to give sodomites, infanticide advocates, and Satanists the right to assemble peaceably? If you are a proponent of the Constitution and a defender of Amendment 1, you must also champion the rights of such criminals and anti-Christians to assemble and promote their wicked agendas.

Homosexuals and infant assassins claim freedom of speech and the right to assemble to combat Christians who speak out or assemble against these heinous people and their brazen debauchery. By labeling what Christians do as hate crimes, these immoral people are able to employ Amendment 1 against Christians speaking and/or assembling against these atrocities.

According to the Bill of Rights, it is the alleged religious right of these sodomites, baby killers, and Satanists to use Amendment 1 against Christians.

Not true because, in the words of John Adams:
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

A Biblically moral people would never mock Biblical scripture. When our nation, leaders and the general population, strayed from Biblical morality, the Constitution effectively ceased to function as intended. This is not a flaw in the Constitution, but a flaw in some modern people and their society.

This gives normal Christian’s and people of faith good reason to despise the whole trans and gay agenda. as Christians I know we’re supposed to turn the other cheek and pray for these people, however, I believe in my heart of hearts they will have to answer to God someday and it maybe a very ugly place they spend all of eternity.

I don’t think more disrespect has been shown toward Jesus. They want people to respect them then they pull this off. They deserve what awaits them.
