Megyn Kelly is taking aim at “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski after the pair did a complete “180” on their views of President-elect Donald Trump. The MSNBC hosts, who had previously likened Trump to Adolf Hitler and warned of a fascist regime, recently visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago and expressed a desire to work with him in a face-to-face meeting. But Kelly isn’t buying their change of heart, calling them out on her SiriusXM show and telling them to “go fuck yourselves” for their alleged insincerity.
“The absolutely ridiculous pair on the MSNBC morning show, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski,” Kelly began. “How long have they been telling us that he’s an existential threat, that he’s a Hitler-esque figure, that he’s a fascist, that women will die if he gets elected? Well, they’ve done a 180. They’ve done a 180 as their ratings circle the bowl.”
Guest and independent journalist Glenn Greenwald joined in, calling the hosts “the most humiliated and pathetic people on all of corporate media.” He pointed out that while other media figures may genuinely believe their negative rhetoric about Trump, Scarborough and Brzezinski are only interested in their own careers and ratings.
“These two worked day and night to try to get Trump the nomination back in 2015 and 2016. They embarrassed themselves and sacrificed any pretense of journalistic ethics in doing it,” Kelly added. “But when Scarborough found out he was not going to be Trump’s running mate, he turned on him because access to power is everything to that small little man.”
The hosts claimed their meeting with Trump was prompted by concerns and pushback from Democrats over some of his Cabinet picks. They discussed various domestic issues and expressed a desire to “restart communications” with the president. But Kelly and her guest weren’t buying it, pointing out how the two had been Trump supporters during his first campaign before turning against him.
“They’re so disgusting,” Kelly said. “They’re just looking for access and power, and they’re willing to sacrifice any principles and integrity in the process.”
All this is just another reminder of the blatant bias and dishonesty present in liberal media, as they are willing to sell out their integrity to maintain their access to power.
