Former President Joe Biden’s post-presidency looks bleak, according to political analyst Mark Halperin. Halperin predicted that Biden will struggle after his presidency ends in January, in stark contrast to former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama who all had “normal post-presidencies,” with lucrative book deals and speaking engagements.
During an appearance on “The Morning Meeting,” Halperin compared Biden’s potential post-presidency struggles to the successful pursuits of his predecessors. “Clinton did a little bit; Clinton did Global Initiative, but all of them had normal post-presidencies in the sense that they got book deals, they gave speeches for $250,000 and up, they did lots of international travel, giving even more lucrative speeches,” Halperin explained.
However, Biden may not have the same opportunities as his predecessors. Halperin noted that Biden may struggle to raise the money needed to establish a presidential library, as reported by The Wall Street Journal in October. “It’s going to be a shock to the system,” Halperin said, “You think he’s feeling kind of irrelevant now?”
Halperin went on to say that Biden could potentially face a “rude awakening” after his presidency. “Like, even if the pardons don’t hit the hornets’ nest, he’s gonna be in for a rude awakening, I think. And I’m not sure he’s gonna be equipped. If he wants attention, I’m not sure he’s gonna be equipped to garner it,” he stated.
Biden’s mental acuity has also been a topic of scrutiny, especially after his debate with former President Donald Trump in June. Since taking office, Biden has made numerous gaffes, including calling Trump supporters “garbage” in October. Democratic strategist James Carville recently expressed his sorrow for how Biden’s career is ending, saying that he will be remembered as the “most tragic figure in modern American politics.”
It’s clear that Biden’s presidency is not off to a good start, and it looks like things will only get worse after he leaves office. With his age and potential lack of opportunities, Biden may struggle to stay relevant and make an impact outside of the White House. It’s a stark contrast to his predecessors who were able to continue their political influence after their presidency ended.
Maybe Biden will be making speeches in whatever nursing home Dr. (?) Jill puts him in.
If one was paying attention, he would realize from the very beginning of Biden’s career that he was a liar and most of the time on the wrong side of issues. He and his administration will go down as the worst that ever-held office and the most destructive to this country!!!!!
I agree. Biden has always been a psychopathic, but effective liar. He never had a real job before being elected, and always had people around him, willing to accept his proven lies and excuse them. Nothing but flem flam.
Joe Biden’s only “relevance” is due to the damage that he and the leftist policies he promoted have wrought upon this nation.
His presidency has been bleak at best. I don’t see why his post presidency should be any better.
Biden would do great at speeches as long as they let the idiot use a teleprompter. I cannot wait until this pos is out of the White House
