Firefighter Erupts Near The 9/11 Ceremony
A New York firefighter was filmed going off on a pro-Palestine demonstrator near the Ground Zero 9/11 ceremony on Friday, and let’s just say nobody needed a translator for where he stood. The protester was reportedly wearing an Elmo costume with a Palestine flag draped over his back, which is quite a choice near one of the most sacred and painful sites in America. According to the source report, the firefighter shouted at the demonstrator to “go back to f*cking Palestine” and called him an “anti-American motherf*cker.” He also yelled, “We don’t want you here!” The moment was raw, angry, and very New York, especially given the setting where families still gather to honor loved ones murdered on September 11.
Obama, Mamdani, AOC, And Hochul Were Named
The firefighter did not stop with the protester. In the video described by the source, he also told the demonstrator to take Barack Obama, Zohran Mamdani, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul with him. His words were profane, but the political message was not exactly hidden in fine print. He called them “no f*cking good” and repeated that line as the confrontation continued. The Gateway Pundit reported that Obama, Mamdani, AOC, and Hochul were all in attendance at the ceremony that morning. For many Americans, Ground Zero is not a place for political theater, costume stunts, or ideological showboating. It is a place to remember the dead, honor the families, and show respect without needing a committee meeting to explain why.
Mamdani’s Appearance Had Already Sparked Backlash
The report also noted that Mamdani’s appearance came after objections from family members of those killed in the attacks. According to the source, a petition to bar him from the event had gathered more than 100,000 signatures. The Gateway Pundit said 9/11 families held a press conference earlier in the week in a final effort to keep Mamdani away from the memorial. Their concerns, as reported, included his lack of understanding, his affiliations with people described by the source as America-hating jihadists and terrorist sympathizers, and accusations that he had tried to make the memorial about himself. Whether the political class wants to admit it or not, the families of 9/11 victims have earned the right to be heard loudly and clearly on who belongs at that memorial and how guests should conduct themselves there.
Another Video Raised More Questions About Respect
The Gateway Pundit also reported that Mamdani was caught on camera laughing with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez while names of the honored dead were being read aloud. That claim was presented in the source as part of a separate video report. If accurate, it is easy to understand why people were furious. The reading of the names is not a networking event, not a campaign stop, and not a selfie backdrop for the socialist fan club. It is one of the most solemn public rituals in this country. Families listen for the names of mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, firefighters, police officers, office workers, and friends who never came home. In that setting, basic respect should not be too much to ask from elected officials or anyone else who shows up.
