Emergency Orders Cover Wide Areas

Spokane County Emergency Management issued Level 3 evacuations for several zones, including areas between Rutter Parkway and Francis Avenue, from the Spokane River to Division Street, neighborhoods northeast of Airway Heights, and sections northwest of Nine-Mile Falls. National Guard Mobilized as State Faces Major Fire Season

Washington Governor Bob Ferguson declared a statewide wildfire emergency and put a burn ban in place through September as more than 200,000 acres burned across a dozen large fires.
