The liberal media is once again in hysterics over President Donald Trump’s strong stance on immigration enforcement, this time targeting his decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles to quell violent riots. On The View, co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines spiraled into a fact-free rant, desperately attempting to downplay the severity of illegal immigration while smearing Trump’s policies as cruel and unjust. But the American people aren’t buying it—66% support deporting those who break our laws by entering or remaining in the country illegally.
Hostin, visibly flustered, shrieked, “It is not illegal to be undocumented. People are not illegal … We need to put that information out there.” Her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin weakly attempted to clarify, stating, “Even if it’s a civil offense,” but the damage was already done. Hostin’s emotional outburst exposed the left’s deliberate misinformation campaign, which seeks to normalize lawlessness by pretending that violating U.S. immigration laws is no big deal.
The reality? While illegal entry is typically a misdemeanor, repeated offenses and overstaying a visa are felonies. More importantly, the American people have had enough of the chaos caused by open borders—rampant crime, overwhelmed cities, and taxpayers footing the bill for millions of illegal immigrants. President Trump’s decision to send the National Guard to restore order in Los Angeles is exactly the kind of strong leadership this country needs.
Haines, meanwhile, tried to spin Trump’s high approval ratings on immigration as some kind of political stunt, sneering, “I think the strategy here is, he’s leaning into a scene right now, creating a bigger thing, because it is the one thing that he remains supported in.” But the truth is simple: Americans support Trump because he delivers on his promises—unlike the spineless Democrats who prioritize illegal immigrants over citizens.
Griffin’s feeble attempt to redirect the conversation only reinforced how out of touch the left is: “I don’t think it’s actually broadly a misunderstanding. I think that 60 percent of Americans believe that it’s a civil offense and that if you come here and you are undocumented, that you should be deported.” She’s right—most Americans want our laws enforced, and Trump is the only one with the courage to do it.
ICE is legally enforcing US law. National guard was sent to protect ICE agents because state law enforcement cannot or will not. US Marines are protecting federal property and federal employees. The bovine on The View are intentionally wrong, and deserve to be ignored.
