Former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr has urged the Department of Justice (DOJ) to drop the charges brought against President-elect Donald Trump in the interest of the American people. Barr believes that dismissing the charges will allow Trump to focus on the needs of the country.
In response to the two cases currently facing Trump, Barr stated, “I think all cases are a matter of discretion… It’s always a question of what’s in the best interest of the country.” He emphasized that the distractions and resources needed to pursue these cases would not be beneficial for the American people.
Barr also highlighted the weakness of the cases against Trump, stating that they would require years of litigation if officials attempted to revive them after his term. He called the cases “very weak” and said they would involve “arcane litigation over legal doctrines.”
One of the cases Barr referred to is the 18-count charge brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in Georgia. Barr believes that this case is a result of political motivations and that the charges are weak. He also mentioned New York Attorney General Letitia James’ case, which he called an “abomination.” He argued that this case would have never been brought against anyone except the president-elect.
Barr also addressed the civil case brought by E. Jean Carroll, in which she accused Trump of rape and defamation. Barr believes that both Carroll and James’ cases have given Trump “strength” and have backfired against those who brought them forth.
In the face of these multiple legal battles, Barr pointed out that many Americans are tired of seeing the legal system being used against Trump. He believes that these cases have had the opposite effect of what the accusers intended, and have only fueled support for the president-elect.
Barr’s advice to the DOJ to drop these charges serves as a reminder that the interests of the American people should be the top priority. With the country facing countless challenges, it is essential that the president-elect has the ability to focus on the needs of the American people.
Barr’s support for Trump and his call for the dismissal of the charges against him is a reflection of the views of many Americans. The American people are tired of seeing their leaders being unfairly attacked and distracted by baseless legal battles. It’s time for the DOJ to prioritize the needs of the country and allow Trump to lead without these unnecessary distractions.
This is just Barr playing his usual role of CYOA, but it may also be the first smart thing he has said in YEARS! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
Editor Note: Good afternoon! My name is Daphne Moon. I will be covering news for Steadfast and Loyal while your usual writer takes a much-needed and well-earned break following Trump’s LANDSLIDE victory. I look forward to reading what you have to say about Barr’s new warning for Biden’s DOJ.
So Barr is interested in what’s right for the country now? He is giving advice to his liberal friends.
So Barr has now, finally come to his senses. lol
Too bad he wouldn’t work in the best interest of citizens in 2020. Let in 20 million illegal ballets and 4 years of of destruction by the Marists running the Democrat Party.
Suddenly Mr Barr appears from the shadows. I don’t think that President Trump has you on his cabinet list this time.
” the first smart thing he has said in YEARS! ”
It is about time the corrupt establishment elite started thinking about the good of our country.
Great piece, Daphne. Keep up the good work. In my opinion, Barr’s ostrich like behavior toward obvious voter fraud in 2020 and the Supreme Court’s cowardice in refusing to hear fraud cases put us in the mess we are trying to dig of today.
Thanks for the comment Robert – I agree, Daphne is a terrific writer! Nice to see comments like this while I’m on vacation!
Barr seeded these charges day 1
When Trump gets back in the WH, he should sue, individually, (on behalf of the USA) all the participants in all the lawfare cases that have cost the country’s taxpayers millions of dollars pursuing the sham charges. He should start with that squirrel-faced Merrick Garland, then Jack Smith, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Judge Merchan, Fani Willis, Judge Engeron, Judge Chutkan, Christopher Wray, James Comey, and anyone else involved with the sham cases that have cost the country millions of dollars and thousands of wasted man-hours. Each one should either have to reimburse the government for all the wasted time/money or be prosecuted and have to serve time in prison for fraud.
The description “former” will remain. Trump learned.
I like the way you think ……..
Yes, this is the most important thing you have said, but a dollar too late. You fooled us once, you are irrelevant now.
Barr is much more partially responsible for where our country is than he is a solution. He is a weak, DC insider rather than someone strong enough to lead the change our country needs. Trump is a strong leader and a DC outsider that can effect change.
