Ilhan Omar and Cori Bush’s Don’t Understand What Memorial Day Means: Proof They Don’t Belong in Congress!

Woke Congresswomen’s Memorial Day Ignorance Exposed

As we honored our fallen heroes this Memorial Day, it became glaringly clear that some of our congresswomen have no clue what this solemn holiday is truly about. Representatives Ilhan Omar and Cori Bush, known for their woke stances, made a mockery of the day with their misguided tweets, showing a shocking level of ignorance.

What They Said

On Memorial Day, Omar tweeted, “On Memorial Day we honor the heroic men and women who served our country. We owe them more than our gratitude; they have earned access to Quality Mental Health Services, job opportunities, housing assistance, and the benefits they were promised.” Cori Bush followed suit with a similar tweet, advocating for investments in universal healthcare, affordable housing, and other social services for veterans.

Missing the Mark

The problem? Memorial Day is not about services for living veterans; that’s Veterans Day. Memorial Day is a time to honor those who died in service to our country. Omar and Bush’s tweets suggest they believe it’s about supporting veterans who are still alive, which is not only incorrect but also deeply disrespectful to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their tweets, which have since been deleted, received a wave of backlash from conservatives and veterans alike for missing the entire point of the holiday.

The Importance of Memorial Day

Memorial Day, observed annually on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while in military service. It’s a day of remembrance for the brave souls who gave their lives to protect our freedoms. It’s not a day to push political agendas or misunderstand the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes.

The Tax Code Fumble

It’s not just Memorial Day these congresswomen don’t understand. Cori Bush also demonstrated a lack of basic knowledge about the tax code. When asked what percentage of income the wealthy should pay, she floundered. “If a third of my money is going to taxes, then I think a third of their money should be going to taxes,” she said. This response shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the progressive tax system, where higher earners already pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes.

The “Fair Share” Argument

Bush echoed the common leftist talking point that “the rich should pay their fair share.” Yet, when pressed for specifics, she couldn’t provide a coherent answer. The reality is that the top 1% of earners in the U.S. already pay around 40% of federal income taxes, while the bottom half pays almost nothing. Her inability to grasp these facts underscores her lack of qualification to be making decisions on tax policy.

Final Thoughts

The ignorance displayed by Ilhan Omar and Cori Bush on Memorial Day is a disgrace. Their tweets show a fundamental misunderstanding of what the holiday is about, disrespecting the memory of those who died in service to our country. Coupled with Bush’s cluelessness about the tax code, it’s evident these congresswomen are not fit to hold office. We deserve representatives who understand the basics of American values and policies, not ones who parrot talking points without comprehension.

This just bolsters the fact that Military Service should become Mandatory before you can serve anywhere in Government. If your towns Dog Catcher is a Elected position then yep the dog catcher should have a Honorable Discharge. As for Members of Congress or State Governor’s Being a natural born Citizen should be passed into Law. As it is we now have places in our own country where the Muslims have placed off limits to us Infidels. How Fuc$en outrageous is that. Suddenly Americans are the Infidels in our own country. If that’s the way they feel they can Get the Fuck Out and do not come back. Bad enough our Institutions of Higher Learning have all gone Bat Shit Stupid with their Antisemitism and Pro Hamas views. If they feel that strongly then by all means our Government should pack them into Military Transports and fly them to a Muslim country of their choice. But wedo not need their brand of Hate and Terrorism here. Going off to University or Collage used to mean you were going to learn and become better educated. Unfortunately now all it means is being Indoctrinated and Brainwashed by these Looney Liberal Diploma Factories and they start demanding we pay their Student Loans off because the degree they got is as worthless as they are.

They know about Memorial Day and other American holidays. They don’t care. They are anti-American agents whose agenda is to destroy America from within. Everyone of them was paid for by George Soros (as were others) to be inserted into American government for the sole purpose tearing down our country’s morals, values and sowing discontent. They know exactly what they are doing. They should all be charged with treason.

It’s sad that they are really that stupid, it’s sadder that the people of their districts voted them in to office, showing they are even dumber.

I would like to see any individual running for congress or Senate to take a civics test on our constitution and have their grade posted in social media, on the internet, and other media sources so that constituents would have a better understanding of their ability to govern. Unfortunately many are elected based solely on race, gender or religious proclivities. Of course democrats would prefer people they can easily persuade that have little logical abilities.
