The Rooftop Was Identified Beforehand By Secret Service as a Concern – Why Was it Not Secured? Who is to Blame?

In a shocking and preventable incident, a gunman managed to shoot at former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The Secret Service had already identified a rooftop near the event as a potential vulnerability. Yet, despite this awareness, the building was not secured, allowing the attacker to get into position and fire shots.

This event has sparked a wave of finger-pointing and questions about who is responsible. The Secret Service and local law enforcement were both involved in the security planning, but ultimately, the responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the Secret Service. As the primary agency in charge of protecting our leaders, they should have ensured that all vulnerabilities were covered, especially ones they had already identified.

The Missed Warning Signs

The building from which the gunman fired was owned by a glass research company and located next to the Butler Farm Show venue. It was within 130 yards of the stage, easily within range of a semiautomatic rifle. According to sources, the Secret Service knew this rooftop was a risk. A former senior Secret Service agent stated that someone should have been on the roof or securing the building to prevent anyone from getting there.

However, this did not happen. Instead, the Secret Service had designated that rooftop as the responsibility of local law enforcement. This delegation is a common practice, but it does not absolve the Secret Service of their duty to ensure comprehensive security. The ultimate failure to secure this critical point shows a lapse in judgment and coordination.

A Deadly Outcome

Minutes into Trump’s speech, a volley of shots rang out. Trump reached for his right ear, later revealing it was pierced by a bullet, and dropped to the ground as Secret Service agents rushed to shield him. Trump emerged with blood on his ear and face. Tragically, one attendee was killed and two others injured. The gunman, a 20-year-old named Thomas Matthew Crooks, was eventually shot and killed by Secret Service personnel.

Witnesses outside the event’s security perimeter had even pointed out the gunman to law enforcement a couple of minutes before the shooting began. Despite these warnings, the gunman managed to open fire, causing chaos and tragedy.

Who’s to Blame?

Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger stated that the Secret Service was in charge of the overall security, and they were the ones who assigned roles. Local law enforcement, including sniper and quick response teams, were involved, but they did not secure the roof from which Crooks fired.

This incident has been called the biggest failure of the Secret Service since the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan in 1981. Former agents and security experts are questioning how such a basic lapse could occur. Anthony Cangelosi, a former Secret Service agent, emphasized that even if local law enforcement dropped the ball, the Secret Service is ultimately responsible for ensuring all threats are mitigated.

The Bigger Issue

Beyond this specific failure, there are serious concerns about the overall competency of the Secret Service. Under the leadership of Director Kimberly Cheatle, the agency has been focused heavily on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. These DEI goals are the downfall of the Secret Service, and any other organization, especially when it comes to matters of life and death. The focus should always be on hiring the best people, regardless of race, gender, or anything else other than capabilities. This obsession with DEI is likely detracting from the core mission of protecting our nation’s leaders, contributing to the degradation of the agency’s effectiveness and operational readiness.

Final Thoughts

The shooting at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, exposes critical weaknesses in the Secret Service’s approach to security. While local law enforcement had a role, the primary responsibility lies with the Secret Service. The failure to secure an identified risk area is inexcusable. As the agency grapples with its priorities, it must not lose sight of its most crucial task: ensuring the safety of those it is sworn to protect. It’s time for the Secret Service to reassess and refocus on its core mission to prevent such lapses from happening again.

The Head of the Secret Service is to blame, DIRECTLY. he refused to beed up Trump’s security and even tried to end it. She went on media stating that there is NO THREAT just six days earlier.

What hasn’t her political head been removed already? What have the Republicans subpoenaed her appearance before Congress instead of simply impeaching her instantly? What has she not resigned?

When Trump is President I hope that he personally removes her political head in a manner that kills any possibility of a government job in her future.

From the video it shows Trump facing forward and the bullet grazing the side his head. If the shooter was on that rooftop then Trump would have been shot broadside and in the temple. . The real shooter is still out there.

My mailbox out my front door is farther than this shot,,,,within pistol range for many shooters,,,,how was it that hes there in plain view, and noticed, and not shot? Even a missed shot in his direction will get his attention,,,,why did no local police take a shot??? Is this ruby ridge all over, or the branch dividians,or robert or john kennedy??? If we have snipers and police who wont shoot, why do they show up with guns? Might just as well come with slingshots,,,

It’s almost a certainty that the SS & FBI were in cahoots in allowing the rooftop perch to be available to the shooter. Reportedly, Trump’s SS contingent had asked numerous times for his SS team to be beefed up for these enormous rallies, but were rebuffed/ignored by Alejandro Majorkas’s department responsible for detailing Trump’s SS/FBI protection units. Who woulda thunk!!! Majorkas is the subject of impeachment action by the Republican for gross dereliction of duty regarding the southern border debacle, and is a major Deep State operative trying to destroy our country! When (not if) Trump is reelected in November, hopefully with almost total republican candidates victorious (all preferably former military)they should follow through on their stated objective(s) of sweeping the Democrat Party criminals and their Deep State allies into jail! MAGA!

Looks like it was from the script of the movie ”SHOOTER”. Just saying Democrats have tried to remove Trump’s SS protection. Looks like it is working.
