In a remarkable appearance on ‘The View,’ Condoleezza Rice, the former Secretary of State and a distinguished academic, brought a much-needed perspective to the heated debate on critical race theory. Rice, who grew up in segregated Birmingham, Alabama, shared her personal and professional insights, which are not only shaped by her historical experiences but also by her deep academic understanding.
Empowering, Not Disempowering
Rice expressed a powerful message about empowerment. She recalled her parents’ guidance, emphasizing that despite growing up in a world rife with prejudice, she was taught to see those barriers as challenges to overcome, not as permanent obstacles. “You are going to be anything you want to be,” she reminded the audience, echoing her parents’ words. This stance challenges the current narrative that often paints individuals as permanent victims or oppressors based merely on their race.
The Problem with Guilt and Disempowerment
During her discussion, Rice criticized the way critical race theory is being discussed in educational and public spheres. She pointed out the problematic nature of making white people feel guilty for historical injustices they weren’t part of, as well as making black people feel disempowered by their racial identity. According to Rice, true empowerment comes from lifting everyone up, not by bringing others down.
A Look of Disgust from Sonny Hostin
As Rice delivered her fact-based arguments, the reaction from some of the hosts was telling. Notably, Sonny Hostin, known for her often divisive takes on race, seemed visibly uncomfortable and unable to counter Rice’s points. Hostin’s look of disgust and her silence spoke volumes about her apparent inability to engage with a well-reasoned, different viewpoint on race relations. This moment highlighted a significant problem with some media personalities: they often resort to race-baiting instead of engaging in productive discussions.
Audience and Nationwide Approval
The audience’s reaction to Rice’s statements was overwhelmingly positive, with applause breaking out, underscoring a broad approval of her views. This response is a clear indication that many Americans are seeking a balanced and constructive dialogue about race, contrary to what some divisive figures in the media promote.
Final Thoughts
Condoleezza Rice’s appearance on ‘The View’ was a breath of fresh air in the stifling atmosphere of American discourse on race. Her call for an approach to race that empowers all children and refuses to cast them as historical victims or oppressors is a message that resonates with many. Rice’s clarity and poise in addressing these complex issues show why she remains a respected figure in national and international politics. Her perspective, rooted in personal experience and academic wisdom, continues to offer a beacon of hope for those seeking rational and inclusive discussions on race.
This article serves as a reminder of the value of having voices like Rice’s in the national conversation about race and history, and why many Americans believe that a balanced, fact-based approach to these issues is the best path forward for the United States.
The morons on the View don’t have the mental capacity to comprehend what was told to them. So the only thing that they can do is show their disdain with the person giving them the information.
Totally agree with you, Roland. Those people are disgusting. Even the moron that is supposed to be the “conservative.” But, those in the audience are worse. Why would you waste your time to go see that?
These bimbos from the View can comprehend what they are told but the problem is they won’t admit publicly that they are totally wrong and out of touch with the actual real world and want to continue pushing their own personal twisted views trying to get others to believe their cockamamie narrative. Anyone who shares their views is a person that has no true life because they don’t have the ability to think for themselves and just follow along with what they are told. It’s the definition of a liberal!
Liberal – a person that does not possess the cognitive ability to think for themselves and follows along with what they are told.
When is the view going to be taken off the air?
Not soon enough John, however, these idiots are a source of great content for me… 🙂
If the donald wins the presidency again,he should ask condoleezza to be secretary of state again
That would be interesting. I have always admired her intelligence!
If The Donald wins the Preidency again, it would be very good for Condoleezza Rice to be Secretary of State again.
I don’t know where you live, but here in the Deep South I have seen time and time again where people of all ethnicities treat each other with dignity and respect. Our parents taught us well, and we simply don’t listen to racists like those on “The View” and the one currently occupying the White House.
Love Rice and hate the race baiting View show.
If she ran for the president-se I would vote for her in a heartbeat, I have always admired her and her intelligence. How a bout Thomas Sowell or Morgan Freeman for president They are much more intelligent than Biden.
