Mexico Preparing to Accommodate Over 600,000 DACA “Dreamers”

Officials in Mexico are already prepping for the possibility of over 600,000 “Dreams” to be deported to their country.

According to Luis Videgaray, the Mexican Foreign Minister, he highlighted the Mexican Government can support the integration of the “Dreamers”.

“The Mexican Government can play a part here. We can verify and certify these references to make the incorporation of these young people easier,” into the labor market, for the ones who decide to return to Mexico, according to the Chancellor.

Nearly 800,000 illegal immigrants are currently protected under the DACA program and just weeks ago President Trump announced the removal of the system but gave Congress 6 months to come up with a better viable solution. The timeframe on this is March of 2018.

Oddly enough, not too long ago State Attorney General Xavier Becerra (California) filed to sue the Trump administration over ending the DACA program.

“There is no state that will be more economically impacted by the Trump administration’s unconstitutional and illegal termination of DACA than California,” Becerra said at a Sacramento news conference, noting that California is home to a quarter of the 800,000 young people in the DACA program.

I thought the creation of DACA was illegal and unconstitutional? Am I right? Probably…

Gov. Jerry Brown supported the latest challenge.

“California stands with the millions of immigrants who make this state a vibrant and prosperous place,” Brown said in a statement. “We are investing millions of dollars in new legal aid to help law-abiding people stay with their families in the U.S.”

I don’t know… maybe I don’t know the ends and outs as well as I think I do but I feel like these folks have had YEARS to become legal citizens. What’s taken them so long and why haven’t they done it already?
