Considering the fact that the $15 dollar minimum wage has a devastating effect on a restaurant, imagine what $20 would do.
McDonald’s and other fast-food joints would become fully automated and the entry-level jobs in all industries will bleed jobs like crazy. Why stop at $20? Why not $50? $100? If $15 is good, 100 is better, right? Doesn’t any Democrats exist that actually consider what their proposals will do? Just imagine a high school graduate going out to look for a job and no one will hire them.
If you are paying $15 or $20 an hour you don’t want someone with no experience and for that kind of money, you won’t have to.
Tlaib and Michigan Democrat Debbie Dingell participated in an event called “Server for an Hour” to support the Raise the Wage Act that passed the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives Thursday.
Tlaib brought up the common counter-argument that raising the minimum wage will not actually feel like more money in the wallets of workers.

“They say all this is going to raise the cost. But I can tell you, milk has gone up. Eggs has gone up. Everything has gone up. The cost of food has gone up. The cost of a lot of things that we need has gone up already,” she said.
