LINDSAY GRAHAM: Undercutting Trump on Border Wall Means the End of the GOP

This is not your father’s Lindsay Graham. This is the new and improved Lindsay Graham. This Lindsay Graham is a fighter. He fought for Brett Kavanaugh and he’s fighting for the border wall and he’s not being shy about it.

He is warning Republicans that if they try to undercut Trump on the border wall, the Republican party is finished and they would deserve to be. Graham believes that this is the only chance that the GOP will have of getting the wall. He says that they must ride it out. If polling from the last two days continues, it’s unlikely the Democrats will be able to hold out.

In those two polls, only 6% and 12% think there is no crises at the border.

From Breitbart News

Host Sean Hannity asked, “[I]f the president doesn’t take the stand here, fully, do you see any other path that he can use that he will get the money to stop the crimes from happening on our southern border, the drug trafficking, human trafficking, some criminal elements that want to cross over our border?”

Graham said, “This is the best chance I have seen to get a deal. The president made a compelling case tonight for more border security. … I am bound and determined to see this thing through. There should be a deal where we secure the border, give the president the wall money he needs, and try to fix other problems, like TPS reform and maybe do something for the DACA population.”

He later stated to fellow Republicans that now “is the best chance we’ll ever have to help President Trump get border wall funding, steel barrier funding, and at the same time, fix the loopholes. … But if we undercut the president, that’s the end of his presidency and the end of our party, and we deserve to be punished if we give in now.”
