Here’s What This Creepy Non-Citizen Is Costing The Taxpayers

Gerardo Valerio-Romero, who is an illegal alien and in jail accused of molesting his 8-year-old stepdaughter has cost the taxpayers a million dollars and it will only go up from there since he has cancer. He is a Mexican citizen but it’s unlikely Mexico is willing to take him back and even if they were, some liberal judge would order the taxpayers to continue paying for his care.

He is in the Utah County, Utah jail and Sheriff Jim Tracy was faced with some terrible choices. He could lay off employees, close jail beds or turn him loose, which he didn’t have the authority to do. As a result, he resigned his position out of a sense of hopelessness.

From The Conservative Tribune

“Forty-nine-year-old Gerardo Valerio-Romero’s tab for cancer treatment has all but bankrupted the local jail in a Utah county, where he’s been charged with six counts of sexually assaulting his own 8-year-old stepdaughter, along with eight felony counts of forgery and one count of illegally possessing someone else’s ID,” Hughes says in the Wednesday video.

“Valerio-Romero was arrested back in March of last year, but his trial has already been postponed twice,” she noted. “In the meantime, he’s managed to cost the county nearly a million bucks in cancer treatments — and that’s even after the hospital agreed to discounts

“The Washington Post reports that Valerio-Romero’s cancer treatments have completely drained the county jail’s entire medical budget, which was only about a half a million to begin with,” she continued.

It has become a no-win situation for the county and no one from the state or federal governments are stepping up to help.
