White House Seemingly Expects Massive Migrant ‘Influx’ In Wake Of Cancelling Trump-era Policy

In statements released this past Wednesday, the White House finally admitted that it is currently waiting on a massive “influx” of migrants in the wake of a report surfacing about Old Uncle Joe’s plan to finally nix a policy set in place by former President Donald Trump that has been responsible for the deportation of well over 1.7 million illegal aliens from the country.

A public health directive from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Title 42, was set up back in March fo 2020. It cropped up due to COVID-19 and has since been continued by Old Uncle Joe and his administration. Now, however, Biden is moving towards ending the policy, as seen in a pending draft of an order from the CDC that was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

“This is a decision that we have long deferred to CDC, Title 42 is a public health directive, it is not an immigration or migration enforcement measure. So, the decision on when to lift Title 42, we defer to the CDC,” stated Kate Bedingfield, the White House Communications Director, as part of a Wednesday briefing.

Bedingfield highlighted the idea that the administration is “planning for multiple contingencies” and that “there will be an influx of people to the border” as soon as TItle 42 falls. The order reported by The Wall Street Journal stated that TItle 42 just may be rescinded by late May.

While the current administration seems to be characterizing the number of people that they are thinking may rush the southern border as an “influx,” the former acting commissioner for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection under Trump, Mark Morgan, stated it very differently.

“It’s not going to be just another ‘surge.’” warned Morgan, who has stated that Biden is just more focused on fixing the borders of Ukraine than that of America. “It’s going to be a crushing tidal wave of illegal immigration.”

At the time of the official repealing of Title 42, officials within the administration would be forced to handle the asylum claims. Title 42 outlines that most migrants seeking protection within the U.S. could still be looking at deportation with no consideration for their claims.

There has been extreme pressure from Democrats on Biden to finally end Title 42 over the past few weeks. Namely, California Rep. Juan Vargas, who is a Democrat whose district currently represents the state’s entire border with Mexico, has claimed that such a policy “was never about public health and safety” and was “implemented to deny due process to people seeking refuge and protection.”
