Uncle Joe’s Decisions Are Causing Weird Effects On Blue States

Traffic comes to a complete standstill on the southbound 55 freeway just north of the 22 freeway as California Highway patrol officers created a traffic break to remove a four-vehicle collision from lanes at about 7:15 a.m. ///ADDITIONAL INFO: - Photo by BRUCE CHAMBERS, THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER - photos taken 04/01/09 - ORANGE – Four vehicles have crashed at the southbound 55 freeway just north of the 22 freeway, one vehicle apparently has caught fire, and the wreckage has two lanes blocked, the California Highway Patrol says. The CHP now says at least two vehicles are disabled in the center divider, blocking the carpool and No. 1 lane. Two other vehicles are involved and police say smoke is coming from one. An ambulance and tow trucks have been called to the scene. The CHP issued a SigAlert to clean up the mess. Traffic is backed up to near the 91 freeway.

Recently, Americans have started running to get out of blue states like New York and California seeming to flee to southern and southeastern states, most popularly Texas and Florida, a newly reported study shows.

As the rate of violent crime seems to massively surge in liberal metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles and New York City, people are attempting to migrate south to more red areas, as stated in a report put out by North American Van Lines (NAVL).

“Despite the 2020 pandemic, this year Americans are following similar moving trends as prior years. Millions of Americans are moving either to start a new job or to move home,” stated the Indiana-based trucking and moving assistance company in a recently released 2020 Migration Report. The group does business by offering long-distance and local moving services alongside the ability to handle storage services.

The recently unveiled report shows that Californians who have chosen to leave the state are, for the most part, seeking to move south, headed towards texas or up north to Idaho.

Another state that is currently seeing a mass of fleeing residents, New York or New York City, in particular, has seen the largest number of residents head for greener pastures. The three next cities on the list of the largest number of residents lost all belong to the same state, California. The cities in question are as follows: Anaheim, San Diego, and Riverside, and then the list moves over to include Chicago as the list leaves California.

When we look at the states themselves we see 3 other big states besides New York on the list. The resident of New Jersey, Maryland, and California seems to be fleeing to more southern or southeastern locales. The residents of Pennsylvania and Michigan are also experiencing a mass exodus of their residents, but this is just a following of the trend from previous years since both of those states have quite frequently seen themselves ranked near the top of the top 10 for outbound moves. Illinois remains in the top 10 outbound moves as we see a giant spike in the violence inside the Chicago area.

Seemingly the most popular areas for movers are Arizona, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, and Colorado. This past year, Tennessee became more popular than South Carolina, compared to the 2019 results.

The top city on the popularity meter for moving destinations is now Phoenix, which is being chased by Houston and followed by Dallas, Atlanta, and Denver.

“With Texas’ warm climate and low taxes it’s not surprising that three of the top ten MSA [Metropolitan Statistical Area] destinations are in Texas,” stated the report.
