Shocking News From Witness In Rittenhouse Case

This past Monday, a man that was shot by Kyle Rittenhouse, then 17-year-old, this pst year has admitted under oath that he was accosting Rittenhouse with a gun when the teen opened fire in return.

Gaige Grosskreutz, aged 26 at the time of the incident, was shot by Rittenhouse during a riot that took place in Kenosha, Washington back in August of 2020. Grosskreutz, who was armed with a handgun at the time, advanced on Rittenhouse just minutes after the teen had been attacked by a group of others and was laying prone on the ground. Grosskreutz took aim with his weapon at Rittenhouse before the teen, who was carrying a rifle, turned the firearm on Grosskreutz which resulted in Rittenhouse firing and hitting the older man’s arm.

While under questioning from Corey Chirafisi, the defense attorney from Rittenhouse, Grosskreutz stated under oath that Rittenhouse fired on him only after Grosskreutz had taken aim at Rittenhouse with his pistol. Chirafisi began another line of questioned utilizing a still image from a video that showed the exact moment Rittenhouse fired at Grosskreutz, which seemed to show Grosskrutz’s arm being “vaporized,” stated a witness.

Corey Chirafisi: Now, you’d agree your firearm is pointed at Mr. Rittenhouse. Correct?

Gaige Grosskreutz: Yes.

CC: Okay. And once your firearm is pointed at Mr. Rittenhouse, that’s when he fires his gun. Yes?

GG: No.

CC: Sir, look, I don’t want to – does this look like right now your arm is being shot?

GG: That looks like my bicep being vaporized, yes.

CC: Okay. And it’s being vaporized as you’re pointing your gun directly at him. Yes?

GG: Yes.

CC: Okay. So when you were standing 3-5 feet from him with your arms up in the air, he never fired. Right?

GG: Correct.

CC: It wasn’t until you pointed your gun at him, advanced on him with your gun — now your hands down — pointed at him that he fired. Right?

GG: Correct.

Grosskreutz went on to testify that he feared for his life and had no intention of shooting Rittenhouse.

“That was never something I was trying to do,” Grosskreutz stated during his testimony, as reported by The Washington Post. “At that moment I was trying to preserve my own life. Trying to take the life of another is not something I am … capable of doing. … That’s not why I was out there.”

Grosskreutz was the third person that evening that was shot by Rittenhouse on the 25th of August, 2020 which was the third night of the riots taking place in Kenosha in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man, by police. Rittenhouse also shot and killed two other people, 6-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum and 26-year-old Anthony Huber, just minuted before he fired upon Grosskreutz.
