Murder Suspect And Alleged Sexual Molester In NYC Jail Claims Transition To Female

A person who is biologically male and currently suspected of murder who was previously accused of sexually molesting a five-year-old child has claimed to have “transitioned” to female while in custody and being held at Rikers Island jail in New York City.

A 26-year-old resident from Oklahoma, Alex Ray Scott was apprehended and charged for the murder of 64-year-old antique dealer Kenneth Savinski back in January of 2020. Scott was officially booked as a male well over two years ago, but now the records of the prison state that Scott identifies as a female, as stated in a report from the New York Post.

The Post highlighted jail records, which was reported by the outlet: “…now list the 6-foot-tall, 190-pound Scott as ‘female,’ and indicate that [Scott] is being housed at Rikers Island’s Rose M. Singer Center for female detainees.”

Reportedly, Scott appeared before the court earlier this week and revealed the recent transition. The Post also highlighted pictures of the suspected murderer showing up in court sporting long hair and bangs.

The prosecution team has accused Scott of strangling the victim Savinski, stabbing him multiple times in the face, and then slitting his throat in the wake of meeting up through a dating app.

In the wake of the alleged murder, Scott strode into a police station sporting cut-up hands and carrying a large stack of credit cards that reportedly belonged to Savinski, read a report from the New York Times in February 2020.

Scott made the claim to have been drinking very heavily before the time of the alleged murder and claims to not remember any details of the incident. The suspect marched into a police station after they claim to have searched up the name of the victim on Google.

“I think I may have killed someone last night,” Scott stated to the investigating detectives, as read in the court documents.

It was later revealed via surveillance footage that Scott left Savinski’s residence while carrying the victim’s credit cards, watch, and cash all while wearing the black jacket of the victim, stated the Post.

Scott entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of second-degree murder, criminal possession of stolen property, and grand larceny.

At the time of the suspected murder, Scott was also wanted out in Oklahoma for allegedly forcing the five-year-old of a co-worker to perform oral sex on him in late September of 2018, stated the Times.

Scott did at a later time admit to fleeing to New York from Oklahoma “to get away from the case,” read the court document. The suspect reportedly took to hiding in New York over the course of several week in the wake of removing an ankle tracking device and leaving Oklahoma.
