A group of left-wing protesters and demonstrators have recently stated that they are organizing an event to take place outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh because of his vote not to slam a stay onto Texas’s “heartbeat bill” this past week.

Shut Down DC, the group in question, had put forth demands that Kavanaugh tenders his resignation for his siding with the majority in the court’s 5-4 vote to not place a stay on the Texas bill which has gone into effect as of the first of September.

The plan in place for these activists starts with a meeting on Monday evening at Chevy Chase Local Park to centralize before heading over to the justice’s place of residence to start an “abortion right’s rally and speakout at Kavanaugh’s house.”

“Brett Kavanaugh: You’re going to hear from us directly. Last week we came to the Supreme Court. But you weren’t there; the justices continue to work remotely. So we’re coming to your house” to “tell you to keep your oppressive ideology out of our bodies” and  “demand you RESIGN immediately,” states a post on Facebook announcing and planing the event.

The same Facebook post has also stated that Kavanaugh would no longer be “protected from any backlash” and that they were now in extreme fear about what his continued presence as part of the court could mean for all abortion cases coast to coast.

“And now, in the dead of night, Kavanaugh and four of his colleagues have effectively overturned the right to an abortion,” stated the activist group, “(Although we must acknowledge that the right-wing had already succeeded in making abortion largely inaccessible for many people without means and people of color living in certain states.)”

The people organizing the event also seem to ask that all participants of the protest be as “inclusive as possible in your language” making note that “Women and girls are not the only people who can get pregnant and need abortions.”

Going on, they also state that they do not want any protesters to make any comparisons between any pro-life politicians and the Taliban.

People that were criticizing the protests state that the event at Kavanaugh’s place of residence is just part of a trend of social media groups attempting to bully political figures by showing up in force to their homes. As we have previously seen, Shut Down DC has protested at the home of another political figure: Chad Wolf, the former Homeland Security Secretary.

“By personally threatening Justice Kavanaugh and his family, the Left is resorting to its favorite tactic: intimidating the Court,” stated Carrie Severino, the Judicial Crisis Network President, in a statement to Fox News.
