Despite COVID Diagnosis Biden Resumes Workout Routine That His Staff Cant Explain

This past Tuesday, Old Uncle Joe apparently felt well enough to start back up his full exercise regimen, but when questioned, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had absolutely no clue what that routine even entailed.

As part of the Tuesday daily White House Press Briefing, Jean-Pierre was questioned by one reporter as to what Biden’s normal exercise routine actually entailed. The press secretary awkwardly laughed at the question, claiming that she probably “should have asked” Biden what his regimen actually was. Kevin O’Connor, the White House physician, stated via a memo sent on Tuesday to Jean-Pierre that Biden was doing well gnough to start his normal exercise routine again.

“What sort of exercise is he doing?” asked one reporter from the gathered press pool.

“I knew that was gonna come!” answered Jean-Pierre, chuckling. “I knew, and I should have asked. I mean, look, I think it says a lot, and I spoke to Dr. O’Connor earlier today, that the president is feeling, you know, well. And we should be thrilled and wanting him to have that negative test. I’m sure you guys are waiting for that as well, so you can see him in person, that he is doing well enough to say that he wants to work out. I think it’s been reported in the past that he likes to do weights, and, you know, he likes to do the treadmill. I don’t think I’m sharing anything confidential here. But yeah, I think, it brought a smile to my face when I saw that he wants to work out.”

At an earlier point in the briefing, the press secretary stated that Biden had gone to the doctor to request permission to get back to his usual exercise regimen.

O’Connor claimed that the president felt well enough to kick back off his regimen via a memo sent to the press secretary. “President Biden completed his five-day course of PAXLOVID last night,” stated O’Connor via the memo. “His symptoms have now almost completely resolved. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear. The President now feels well enough to resume his physical exercise regimen.”

O’Connor stated that Biden would continue to self-isolate for Tuesday, as it would be the 5th and final day of the CDC commended isolation period.

O’Connor’s memo did not state any specifics about Biden’s workout plans either, but it was noted by The Hill that Old Uncle Joe is “known to enjoy riding a stationary bike.” A story from The Washington Post back in 2021 stated that Biden “begins his mornings with a workout that often includes lifting weights,” and he meets with a personal trainer quite regularly. The Post also highlighted that Biden made use of both a Peloton and a traditional stationary bike throughout his 2020 campaign.
