Biden Admin Expected To Announce Another Large Piece Of Military Aid To Ukraine

Old Uncle Joe is slated to announce another massive $750 million military aid package headed to Ukraine so that it can more effectively throw back the Russian invasion forces set in place by Vladimir Putin, as reported by a report from Reuters.

This additional package would be going in addition to the already titanic $1.7 billion spent in security assistance that was authorized by the U.S. for Ukraine since the start of the invasion back on the 24th of February. Current thoughts seem to indicate that the statement could come at some point Wednesday at the earliest.

“The equipment would be funded using Presidential Drawdown Authority, or PDA, in which the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency,” stated Reuters in a report that went out on Tuesday.

“One of the officials said final determinations were still being made about the mix of equipment,” it stated.

Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State, stated last week that the U.S. had officially authorized over $100 million in additional military aid package for Ukraine to use to fight off the Russian invasion forces.

“The world has been shocked and appalled by the atrocities committed by Russia’s forces in Bucha and across Ukraine. Ukraine’s forces bravely continue to defend their country and their freedom, and the United States, along with our Allies and partners, stand steadfast in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” claimed Blinken in a release coming from the State Department.

This most recent announcement marks the 6th package Since August that has been authorized by the Department of Defense for the purpose of sending military aid to Ukraine.

“I have authorized, pursuant to a delegation from the President earlier today, the immediate drawdown of security assistance valued at up to $100 million to meet Ukraine’s urgent need for additional anti-armor systems. This authorization is the sixth drawdown of arms, equipment, and supplies from Department of Defense inventories for Ukraine since August 2021,” stated the release.

These reports crop up just after  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has put out a video completely in English via Twitter that seems to be a call to action for all Western nations to “arm Ukraine now.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a warning in this new video that the invasion from Russia will end up being an “endless bloodbath” unless Ukraine is issued additional weapons and munitions.

Without additional weaponry, this war will become an endless bloodbath, spreading misery, suffering, and destruction. Mariupol, Bucha, Kramatorsk – the list will be continued. Nobody will stop Russia except Ukraine with Heavy Weapons. #ArmUkraineNow,” read the post.

“Russia still has the capacity to attack and not only against Ukraine. Poland, Moldova, Romania, and the Baltic states will become the next targets if the freedom of Ukraine fails. The images of Bucha and Mariupol have demonstrated real Russia’s intentions to the whole world. It could only be stopped by force of arms. It must be done now. Ukraine needs weapon supplies. We need heavy artillery, armored vehicles, air defense systems, and combat aircrafts. Anything to repel Russian forces and stop their war crimes,” stated the president in the video.
