Arkansas GOP Gubernatorial Nomination Seized By Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was previously known as the spokeswoman for the former Trump administration and is the daughter of a previous Arkansas governor who served three terms, managed to capture the GOP nomination on Tuesday for the office once worked by her father.

Aged 39, Sanders managed to take down former talk radio host and podcaster Doc Washburn sporting a massive 83% landslide victory. She is now slated to go up against Chris Jones, a nuclear engineer and minister who took a victory in the Democratic primaries for the role of governor. As part of her victory speech that was broadcasted on Tuesday evening, Sanders called out the fatal shooting of over 20 children in a Texas elementary school as a “stark and humbling reminder of just how precious life is.”

“Every single life has value and the most vulnerable among us should be those that we are fighting for and protecting the most,” exclaimed Sanders from Little Rock. “I can assure you that in my administration, that’s exactly what we will do. We will make sure that when a kid is in the womb, they’re as safe as they are in the classroom, the workplace, the nursing home, because every stage of life has value.”

As a married mother of three, Sanders shattered state fundraising records and was quite heavy-handed across Arkansas with TV ads criticizing President Joe Biden and his second in command Vice President Kamala Harris. Her win for the primary was never in much doubt, and she currently sports a massive advantage in the upcoming general election in the state that has not put a Democrat into the governor’s office since back in 2010.

Mike Huckabee, her father, held the highest office in the Natural State from 1996 to 2007. Current Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who is a Republican who first took office back in 2015, was blocked from seeking re-election by term limits.

Sanders previously held the position as former President Trump’s White House press secretary through June of 2019, after taking over the role and its duties as deputy White House press secretary in July of 2017, in the wake of Sean Spicer leaving the administration.

Throughout the two years she spent in the White House, Sanders was the target of much scorn by the media, mocked outright by Hollywood, and was even run out of a restaurant in Virginia solely for the reason that she worked for the Trump administration. Because of this, she won the extreme respect and loyalty of her boss, who made her his very first post- oval office endorsement.

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a warrior who will always fight for the people of Arkansas and do what is right, not what is politically correct,” exclaimed Trump under a weak of vacating the office. “Sarah is strong on Borders, tough on Crime, and fully supports the Second Amendment and our great law enforcement officers,” stated the former president in his release. “She loves our Military and Veterans – and her home state of Arkansas. Sarah will be a GREAT Governor and she has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”
