An extreme leftist carried out an ideologically motivated attack that caused damage to the office of Concerned Women for America (CWA) before proceeding to urinate in the office, stated the organization in a release early Tuesday.
The Christian, socially conservative, and pro-life women’s organization stated that at roughly 10 p.m. on Saturday evening, a “leftist” who had previously taken steps to harass the CWA staff “ripped up our security system, flipped off our camera, and peed on our door.”
“Attacks on our employees and our building will not deter Concerned Women for America from standing up for women and for babies,” claimed the president and CEO of Concerned Women for America, Penny Nance. “We will not be bullied, we will not back down, and we will never, ever stop fighting to protect human life.”
After much scrutiny of the security camera footage that was provided by the organization, a man could b e seen flipping off the camera and then seemingly urinating on the building. The organization stated that it has filed a report with local authorities along with filing a hate crime report with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and issued an alert to the attorney general of Virginia, highlighting that the actual wiring for the building’s secure doorbell and camera system had been actively ripped out and away.
Press Secretary Katie Everett stated that they seem to think the person who carried out this attack against the organization is the exact same person who has been repeatedly harassing staff by screaming extremely “vulgar” statements at them. CWA has also reported the same man to the Police Department in Alexandria once before, claimed Everett, highlighting that he is a 30-year-old whie male sporting light brown hair.
“Over the past several weeks, employees have had hot coffee cups thrown at them while inside our gated parking garage, along with ongoing vulgar gestures and confrontational rantings made toward them,” she stated. “These things have happened not once but several times. It escalated after the Alito leak.”
As read from a statement posted to their website, CWA have stated that they respond to these kinds of attack by praying for the safety of both the individual who “harbors such hatred towards us,” and their staff in addition to the standard reporting of any such attacks to the authorities.
“Attacks on our employees and our building will not deter Concerned Women for America from standing up for women and for babies,” stated CWA. “We will not be bullied; we will not back down, and we will never, ever stop fighting to protect human life.”
